Tiny Backward Bend - original acrylic figurative painting

This little 4 x 4" acrylic on Gessobord may be part of the show at the Dutch Art Gallery in Dallas, Texas, opening next weekend.  Usually I paint in oil, but acrylic proved just perfect for the occasion, since I was in a rush.  The drying time is fantastic!  There basically isn't any.  I may try this again.  Thanks so much for stopping by! This painting is based on a drawing I did in a life drawing group. I loved the model's pose, but I concentrated on her face, rather than the whole figure. Upturned faces are such a challenge!

I just love green, especially in skin colors. And with green, ya gotta have red. So I did Lee's skin in a little exaggeration of green with some red.

It's on 6 x 6" Gessobord.

Orange Comb - original oil painting

I did this without cadmium orange, which I had intended to use in the beginning, but I was pleased with the range of orange in the painting anyway. I did a painting much like this a few years ago, but this one is a quicker and fresher way of painting that I've come to use and I like it better. SOLD
